Location: Minneapolis, MN
Minneapolis hit the high 50s this past weekend – can you believe it?? It was short lived but so nice to not have to wear my parka for a few days! Sadly, I’m back to wearing my parka but spring is right around the corner! I snapped these photos while wandering around downtown Minneapolis before the warmer temps hit. The area around the Stone Arch bridge on the Mississippi River is really picturesque on a Saturday afternoon. In the summers I love going down and exploring the Mill City Farmers Market which is located just beside the Guthrie Theater. The Guthrie is an amazing place to see live theater during the cold winter months- it is on par with the best theater in the country. I love the architecture along the river front and so much of the area has been renovated since I began college years ago. There are so many beautiful lofts and restaurants in this area and I love seeing what pops up.
I love that downtown vibe of an older city. I adore the buildings and the mix of new and old. While I love trying new restaurants and bars, I really love simply wandering around and exploring cities. There is so much to be seen and found- it never ceases to amaze me.
How do you explore your city or town? What kinds of hidden gems have you found?
