Location: Laguna Beach, CA
During my long weekend in Los Angeles my friend and I decided to get out of the city and spend an afternoon in Orange County. We settled on Laguna Beach because it was a part of the O.C. that I hadn’t been to yet and I had heard such great things about it. When we arrived I was overwhelmed by how picture perfect the town was.
The day that we went was a perfect day- not a cloud in the sky and 80 degrees. I went for a long walk along the beach and happened upon an overlook that had the most stunning views of the entire public beach. All along the beach were colorful umbrellas, men playing beach volleyball, and children building sandcastles. Laguna Beach is such a stunning place and yet such an easy drive from Los Angeles.
We had such fun spending a relaxing day by the beach. We ended the day by having fish tacos at a local seafood stand and shopping at some of the cute stores near the beachfront. It was such a perfect day and I was sad to say goodbye to Orange County by the end of it. We stopped at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center on our way back to the city and had such a blast spending time with the seals and sea lions. They are such hilarious creatures and it was amazing to see the wonderful work that the center does to rehab they animals. It is definitely worth the stop! I loved everything about Laguna Beach and cannot wait to visit again- next time hopefully to do some surfing!
