MY STORY

I started this blog in the summer of 2015 as a creative outlet for my day-to-day life. I work in higher education, and while it is very rewarding, I felt I needed something creative to come home to. I graduated from college with a degree in English literature and went on to receive a Master’s degree and got halfway through a PhD in English literature before deciding that a career outside of the classroom was a better fit for me. So here I am! I have a deep love for England ( I spent three years there doing my post-graduate studies), literature, television, art, travel,  fashion, and design.

This blog is a space for me to share with others my personal creativity that I love to play with and explore.  My favorite thing in the whole world is to explore new places and to see the beauty in the everyday happenings of life.I hope to grow through this blog and to have followers come along for the ride with me.

MY STYLE

My style is ever evolving. Depending on my mood, I can range from preppy and cute to sleek and sophisticated. After living in London for almost three years, the European style of minimalism, straight lines, and monochromatic hues have become what I feel most comfortable in and reach for nine times out of ten. I like to keep my girly side present when I feel like I need to spice up my wardrobe so I always have a pop of color hidden in my closet. Also, one word. Stripes. I can never have enough striped items of clothing.
