A Long Weekend in Los Angeles

Location: Los Angeles, CA

After a few months hiatus from the blog, (sorry all- I won’t let that happen again!) I am back and better than ever. The last few months have been full of travel and I can’t wait to share some of the adventures that I’ve gotten up to. Before all of my travel started, I started using a new camera, a Sony A6000, and I have had the best time playing around with my new toy. In April I spent a long weekend in Los Angeles visiting my friends and managed to snap a few photos along the way.

Since spring was still in its early stages at the beginning of April in Minneapolis, being outside was at the top of my LA agenda. My friends live within walking distance of Griffith Park so we set out the first morning to hike to the observatory. We were so lucky to have a bluebird sky and were treated with the most amazing panoramic views of the city.

As always, I have to spend as much time as I can by the ocean whenever I travel to a coast so on my last day I wandered along Venice and Santa Monica. The ocean rejuvenates me and left me ready to get back to work (though it was hard to leave the sunshine and heat!).

The weather in Southern California is so spectacular and the entire weekend was heaven. Being near the ocean and consuming as much asian food as I could was wonderful for the soul. I love taking short weekend trips and always try to fit in as many as I can during the colder months.
